1. WHAT IS AYURVEDA?

Ayurveda is the traditional and holistic system of medicine, indigenous to India.

The word “

Ayurveda” has 2 components: –

  • AYU – LIFE
  • VEDA – KNOWLEDGE

It is the knowledge of life. It shows how our lives can be influenced, shaped, extended, and ultimately controlled without interference from sickness or old age.

2. WHY IS AYURVEDA IMPORTANT?

Ayurveda treats the root cause of disease, which will have a longer effect.

It empowers you to take charge of your own health. You don’t have to wait for a prescription or undergo unnecessary tests.

For example, if you normally have a pattern of getting constipation, then you would start eating warmer cooked, moderately spiced, ingest more healthy oils, take in more water, and warm herbal teas. Avoid cold and dry foods.

3. WHAT IS THE BASIC COMPONENT OF THE AYURVEDA TREATMENT?

Cleansing the bodies and removing the toxicity with the unique detoxifying treatments is the basic component of the Ayurveda treatment.

Yes. If the patient follows all the directions given by the physician, he or she can definitely expect the shifts within 2-6 weeks.

5. DO AYURVEDIC MEDICINES HAVE SIDE EFFECTS?

There can definitely be a detox effect, which can take the form of mild flu-like symptoms or a rash.

This is usually a normal reaction, and it means that the herbs are doing their job.

The reaction always depends on the individual, in that case, the dosage of the medicine can be altered.

  • VASTI – MEDICATED ENEMA – FOR EXCESS VATA
  • NASYAM – MEDICATED NASAL DROPS – IMPROVES PRANA, OPENS CHANNELS OF THE HEAD.
  • RAKTAMOKSHANAM – BLOODLETTING THERAPY – FOR EXCESS RAKTHA AND PITTA.

Additional Treatments like ABHYANGAM, UDAVARTHANAM, SVEDANAM, SHIRODHARA, LEPAM, ETC.,

7. WHAT IS DONE IN PANCHAKARMA?
  • Eating a simple diet for 8-14 days so that the body can concentrate its resources on removing toxins.
  • Taking medicated ghee for 4 to 7 days.
  • Usually purgation with a strong laxative.
  • Medicated enemas

No. Panchakarma cannot be done at home. It should be done only under the supervision of an Ayurvedic physician.
